Twin Astir hits a pole outlanding after the pilot loses his way in haze
The pilot was unhurt but the Twin Astir was substantially damaged when its right wing struck a pole during an outlanding near Huntsville. On a flight from Morgan in hazy conditions, the pilot reported becoming disoriented and flying the wrong way, which took him farther from his intended landing site. With that site out of reach, he picked an open field and set up to land there; on the landing the right wing struck a pole.
