SZD-51 collision with MTOsport during landing at Waldeck airfield

On 7 July 2012 at Waldeck airfield, Germany, a PZL-Bielsko SZD-51-1 'Junior' piloted by a student collided with an AutoGyro MTOsport autogyro during landing near the threshold of RWY 19. The glider's right wing was severed, causing it to crash inverted; glider destroyed, student seriously injured. The autogyro sustained minor damage, its pilot uninjured.
