Standard Cirrus 75 lands on its nose after a sharp push in a bounced outlanding
On a cross-country outlanding near Malá Morava, a sharp push after a bounce drove a Standard Cirrus 75 nose-first into the field; the pilot was unhurt, but the glider was substantially damaged. About two hours out of Šumperk the pilot could not find another climb and chose a large enough field with no obstacles he could see. After an inspection turn he flew a normal circuit. On touchdown the nose struck uneven ground that the report says had not been visible earlier, and the glider bounced. As it floated up he pushed the stick forward abruptly; the impact cracked the laminate of the forward fuselage.
