Incident d'atterrissage du Ka 6 à La Joux Perret entraîne des dommages graves
Le 3 juin 1972, un pilote volant sur un Alexander Schleicher Ka 6 E a décollé de Courtelary pour un vol triangulaire. Après avoir rencontré une diminution de la portance, le pilote a opté pour un atterrissage en campagne à La Joux Perret, Suisse. Lors de l'approche d'atterrissage, un léger virage à droite près du sol a entraîné le contact de l'extrémité de l'aile gauche avec le sol, provoquant un cheval de bois et des dommages graves au planeur. Le pilote n'a pas été blessé, et il n'y a eu aucun dommage au sol. Le rapport officiel a confirmé que l'accident a été causé par un virage exécuté à une altitude insuffisante.

- Lift conditions cease: When the thermals/ascendances stopped near La Joux Perret, the pilot could no longer sustain soaring flight and had to plan an outlanding.
- Slight tailwind: The selected landing direction in the field involved a light tailwind of about 2–3 knots, although the direction was later judged acceptable.
- Field landing approach: The pilot conducted a normal approach into the chosen field, successfully overflying an electrical line and then noticing that the first part of the field sloped uphill.
- Low-altitude right turn: To align with the uphill slope, the pilot made a slight flat right turn at very low altitude just before touchdown.
- Left wingtip strikes: During this low-altitude turn, the left wing contacted the ground, initiating a ground loop (cheval de bois).
- Outlanding - damage: The glider ground-looped and its tail broke, causing serious damage to the aircraft but no injuries to the pilot and no damage on the ground.
