Ka 8 Vorfall bei Andermatt: Außenlandungsversuch führt zu Strömungsabriss und Absturz

Am 11. August 1980 startete ein Ka 8 Segelflugzeug, gesteuert von einem Schweizer Staatsbürger, vom Flugplatz Münster zu einem 300 km Dreiecksflug. Auf dem Rückweg traf der Pilot auf ungünstige Windverhältnisse und entschied sich für eine Außenlandung in der Nähe von Andermatt. Beim Anflug auf das Landefeld mit Rückenwind versuchte der Pilot, die Richtung zu ändern, was zu einem Strömungsabriss bei niedriger Geschwindigkeit und einem Absturz führte. Der Pilot erlitt schwere Verletzungen und das Segelflugzeug wurde zerstört. Die Untersuchung bestätigte, dass das Segelflugzeug aufgrund unzureichender Geschwindigkeit während des Landedrehs überzogen wurde.

  7. Crash - serious injury: The glider stalled and dropped off to the left with airbrakes extended, striking the ground with the left wingtip and nose and seriously injuring the pilot while destroying the aircraft.
