Am 30. März 1989 stürzte eine Alexander Schleicher ASK 18 auf der Montagne de Romont in der Schweiz während eines lokalen Trainingsflugs ab. Das Segelflugzeug, das von einem Flugzeug vom Flugplatz Grenchen geschleppt wurde, wurde nach dem Ausklinken nicht mehr beobachtet und stürzte anschließend in einen bewaldeten Hang.
