ASK 21 lands on a closed runway, overflying parked aircraft

An ASK 21 on a local flight landed on a grass runway at Grenchen that had been closed by NOTAM all day and had aircraft parked on it; neither occupant was hurt and the glider was undamaged. The young, low-time pilot had missed the closure in his flight preparation and only realised it on final. Judging it too late to switch to the parallel hard runway, he pressed on, radioed for the grass strip to be cleared, and overflew the parked aircraft — one with its engine running — moments before touchdown. With a glider pilot's options on short final so limited, overflying the running traffic was the real hazard.
